Measurement of top-quark pair differential cross-sections in the $l$+jets channel in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV using the ATLAS detector

This note presents a measurement of normalized differential cross-sections in the final state with a top quark and top antiquark pair ($t\bar{t}$) as a function of the top quark transverse momentum, and of the mass, transverse momentum and rapidity of the $t\bar{t}$ system. The dataset used correspo...

Sumario:This note presents a measurement of normalized differential cross-sections in the final state with a top quark and top antiquark pair ($t\bar{t}$) as a function of the top quark transverse momentum, and of the mass, transverse momentum and rapidity of the $t\bar{t}$ system. The dataset used corresponds to $4.6\,\mbox{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton ($pp$) collisions at a~center-of-mass energy of $7\,{\rm TeV}$ recorded in 2011 with the ATLAS detector at the CERN LHC. The measured spectra are fully corrected for detector efficiency and resolution effects and are compared to several Monte Carlo simulations as well as selected theoretical calculations. The results show sensitivity to these predictions and to different sets of parton distribution functions.
