Sumario:This paper presents results on the search for Dark Matter with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. ATLAS has searched for dark matter with a variety of methods including direct Supersymmetric searches as well as more generic searches examining events with a jet or Z boson plus missing transverse energy interpreted with effective field theory. No evidence for dark matter has been seen and limits have been placed on various final states. Effective field theory results have been converted to scattering cross-sections to allow comparison with direct detection experiments. ATLAS limits are found to be quite competitive to those from direct detection searches.
