Sumario:The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector is one of the two multipurpose experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). CMS entered a phase of maintenance and upgrade in February 2013, when LHC stopped operation. The talk will present a brief selection of performance results obtained during the 2012 run, focusing on the objects that lead to the Higgs discovery measurements and putting some emphasis on pp collision event pileup dependencies.
