Sumario: | This document reports on the status and plans of the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS as of October 2013. First, an overview of the 2012 and 2013 data taking with secondary $^7$Be beams is given. Second, the progress on detector upgrades and the advance in the NA61 software is reported. Third, new physics results are briefly presented. Finally, plans for data taking in 2014-2017 are outlined and proposals for an extension of the NA61/SHINE physics program are summarized. |
