Sumario: | During the 8 TeV run of the LHC, the CMS experiment collected $\sim{20} \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions. This large data sample has allowed for the probing of many signatures of possible new physics, testing the standard model predictions and setting limits on models of physics beyond the standard model. Several of these searches are summarized in this talk, to show the depth and breadth of the CMS new physics search program. No excess is reported, and the negative results are interpreted in terms of limits on the production cross section or mass of new particles in a variety of models of new physics. |
