Sumario: | At hadron colliders the direct production of electroweak gauge bosons and photons represents a unique tool to probe the fundamental partonic hard scattering process. An overview is presented of the measurements of W, Z, and photon production in proton-proton collisions at the LHC, which allow to test the theoretical QCD predictions with unprecedented precision and have the potential to significantly improve the knowledge of the proton parton content. Emphasis will be given to the most recent results on full datasets. |
