Measurements of vector bosons plus jet productions with the ATLAS detector

Events with jets produced in association with a Z boson in proton-proton collisions can be used to study electroweak vector-boson fusion mechanism at the LHC. The measurement of the W boson in association with a charm-quark has direct sensitivity to the strange and anti-strange quark density functions of the proton. The results on the strange-to-down quark ratio complement those extracted from the analysis of the differential cross sections of inclusive W, Z boson productions. Inclusive and differential cross sections are presented and compared to high-order QCD predictions.
