Sumario: | The top quark is the heaviest known fundamental particle. As it is the only quark that decays before it hadronizes, this gives us the unique opportunity to probe the properties of bare quarks. This talk will focus on a few recent precision measurements by the ATLAS collaboration of the top quark. In addition to the mass and production cross sections, including the differential cross sections in a number of key variables, we can precisely measure the spin, helicity, production and decay asymmetries, among others. Searches for new physics with signatures containing top quarks will also be presented. |
