Heavy Flavor and Spectroscopy at CMS

Selected measurements in the Heavy Flavor sector based on proton proton data collected at $\sqrt{s}$=7 and 8 TeV by the CMS experiment are reviewed. We report on the measurement of the $\chi_{b2}$ over $\chi_{b1}$ cross-section ratio and of the relative $B_c$ branching fractions. The observation of peaking structures in the $J\psi\phi$ mass spectrum is also presented. Finally, we report on the search for a new bottomonium state decaying to $\Upsilon(1S)\pi^+\pi^-$.
