The $X_c$(3250) as a $D^∗\Delta$ molecule
A new structure at 3.25 GeV/c2 has been recently reported by the BaBar collaboration which has received the name of Xc(3250). A preliminary fit to this structure gives a mass M=3245± 20 MeV/c2 and a width G = 108±60 MeV/c2. A molecular interpretation as a D∗ 0(2400)N bound state has been proposed si...

Sumario: | A new structure at 3.25 GeV/c2 has been recently reported by the BaBar collaboration which has received the name of Xc(3250). A preliminary fit to this structure gives a mass M=3245± 20 MeV/c2 and a width G = 108±60 MeV/c2. A molecular interpretation as a D∗ 0(2400)N bound state has been proposed since the threshold for this channel is close to the nominal mass. However the width of the D∗ 0 (2400) seems to be too large to explain the width of the Xc(3250). As the D∗D threshold is also close to the nominal mass of the state, we investigate the possibility to be a D∗D bound state. We find three possible molecules with I(JP) quantum numbers 2( 1 2 − ), 2(32 − ) and 1( 5 2 − ) which are compatible with the measured mass and width. |
