Sumario: | The 4th trigger station composed of 144 double-gap Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) is currently being constructed to enhance muon-trigger efficiency in the Endcap regions of the CMS detector. Korea Detector Laboratory in Korea has produced qualified RPC gaps in accordance with the quality-assurance procedure proposed by the CMS RPC group. The qualified RPC gaps passing the sophisticated quality-control (QC) steps have been delivered to three assembly sites; CERN in Switzerland, BARC in India, and Ghent University in Belgium for the RPC detector assembly. Here, we report the QC procedures for the crucial selection and the performance of the qualified RE4 RPC gaps shown in the high-statistics QC data. |
