Simulation and experimental results with report on the theoretical and scientific aspects of the CLIC module

The present report describes the finite element modelling of the CLIC two-beam modules. Based on the CLIC main operation modes, the results of thermal and structural analysis of two-beam modules are presented. description The present report describes the finite element modelling of the CLIC two-beam modules. Based on the CLIC main operation modes, the results of thermal and structural analysis of two-beam modules are presented. These numerical results will be validated by the experimental tests started in 2013 with full-scale CLIC prototype modules. The measured data will allow for better understanding the thermo-mechanical behaviour of the CLIC two-beam module and they will be propagated back to the numerical modelling.
