Sumario: | The differential cross section of Z boson production in association with jets, in the muon and electron decay channels, is measured in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=8\,\text{TeV}$ with $19.6\,\text{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected by the CMS experiment in 2012. The differential cross section is presented as a function of the jet multiplicity, the transverse momentum of the $n^{\text{th}}$ jet, the absolute pseudo-rapidity of the $n^{\text{th}}$ jet and the scalar sum of the jet transverse momenta, for $n=1,\dots,5$. The differential cross sections are then compared to theoretical predictions from MadGraph and Sherpa. |
