Sumario:Z boson production in association with jets is studied using a sample of proton-proton collisions data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $19.6$ fb$^{-1}$. Z bosons are identified via their decays to $\mu^+\mu^-$ pairs. Jets are reconstructed in an extended rapidity region, $|y| < 4.7$. The double differential cross section with respect to transverse momentum and the rapidity of the highest $p_{T}$ jet, $d^2\sigma/dp_{T}^jdy^j$ is measured. The measurements are compared to the predictions of Monte Carlo generators.
