ATLAS interpretation of the combined measurements of coupling properties of the Higgs boson in terms of its production cross sections

The interpretation of the ATLAS combined measurements of coupling properties of the Higgs boson as production cross sections of the Higgs boson is presented. This cobination uses the following analysis decay channels H → γγ, H → ZZ → 4l, H → WW → lνlν, H → bb, H → τ+τ−. These measurements are done a...

description The interpretation of the ATLAS combined measurements of coupling properties of the Higgs boson as production cross sections of the Higgs boson is presented. This cobination uses the following analysis decay channels H → γγ, H → ZZ → 4l, H → WW → lνlν, H → bb, H → τ+τ−. These measurements are done assuming that the branching fractions of the Higgs boson are those of expected in the Standard Model. The results obtained for the gluon fusion process for centre-of-mass energies of 8 TeV and 7 TeV respectively, are σ (8T eV) = 25.4 +3.6-3.5 (stat) +2.9 - 2.3 (syst) pb and σ (7T eV) = 19.0 +6.2 - 6.0 (stat) +2.6 -1.9 (syst) pb. These measurements are in good agreement with the predictions. The measurement of the VBF production of the Higgs boson at 8 TeV is σ = 2.6 ± 0.6 (stat) +0.5 -0.4 (syst.) pb. in good agreement with the SM prediction.
