Search for Supersymmetry at the high luminosity LHC with the ATLAS experiment
The current searches for Supersymmetry at the LHC have yielded sensitivity to TeV scale gluinos and 1$^{\rm{st}}$ and 2$^{\rm{nd}}$ generation squarks, as well as to 3$^{\rm{rd}}$ generation squarks and electro-weakinos in the hundreds of GeV mass range. Sumario: | The current searches for Supersymmetry at the LHC have yielded sensitivity to TeV scale gluinos and 1$^{\rm{st}}$ and 2$^{\rm{nd}}$ generation squarks, as well as to 3$^{\rm{rd}}$ generation squarks and electro-weakinos in the hundreds of GeV mass range. The high-luminosity phase of the LHC will extend sensitivity well beyond the current limits. This document presents example benchmark studies for gluino and squark searches, first and second generation squark searches, third-generation squark searches, and electro-weakino seaches with a parameterised simulation of the ATLAS detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV. Results are shown for integrated luminosities of 300 fb$^{-1}$ and 3000 fb$^{-1}$. |
