Sumario:We present a measurement of the cross section and ratios of the cross sections of $Z/\gamma^{*}$ plus jets and photon plus jets events in proton-proton collisions, as a function of the vector boson transverse momentum. The data were collected with the CMS detector at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 $\text{fb}^{-1}$. The measurement is performed for vector bosons that have a transverse momentum larger than $p_{T} > 100$ GeV, and for different jet multiplicities. Comparisons between the data and predictions from several QCD calculations are also presented for the vector boson transverse momenta for the photon and for the $Z$ separately, in different jet multiplicities. We also examine ratios between the transverse momentum for $Z/\gamma^{*}$ plus jets and hadronic quantities.
