Measurement of the UE activity in pp collisions with the CMS detector

A review of the recent measurements of the underlying event activity in on proton-proton collisions performed by CMS collaboration at different center of mass energies is presented. Comparisons of the measured data with predictions obtained using the underlying event models implemented in different MC generators show good agreement for basic UE properties, while differences show up in more detailed comparisons.
