Sumario: | An important channel in the search for the Higgs boson at the LHC is the decay into pairs of $\tau$-leptons. After the discovery of the Higgs boson, this channel provides evidence for the direct coupling to fermions. This work is a contribution to the search for this Higgs boson decay with the CMS detector. It exploits in particular the vector-boson fusion production mode and its clear two-jet signature. To this end, jets are calibrated using Z($\to\mu\mu$)+jet events providing jet energy corrections at a precision of a few permil. |
