Sumario: | A search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in association with a Z boson and decaying into bottom quark pairs at the LHC with the CMS detector is presented. The Z boson is required to decay into leptons. The search is performed using 5 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected at the centre of mass energy of 7TeV and 18.9fb$^{-1}$ of data collected at 8 TeV. An overall excess of events with respect to the background only hypothesis is observed in the Higgs boson mass range between 110 and 135 GeV. The local p-value of this excess is 0.5 (0.008) for a Higgs boson with a mass of 110 (135) GeV. The signal strength of this excess, relative to the standard model cross section, for a Higgs boson hypothesis of 125 GeV is 0.8±1.0. |
