Sumario: | Measurement of correlations between elliptic and higher order flow harmonics in 2.76 TeV Pb+Pb collisions are presented. The correlations are measured both as a function of centrality as well as changing collision-geometry at fixed centrality. The origin of the measured correlations are determined by comparing to initial geometry models, and to parameterized fits, whose forms are expected from hydrodynamic considerations. The correlations are shown to give a clean insight into understanding of the initial geometry and expansion mechanism of the medium produced in heavy ion collisions. |
