Sumario: | In my summer student project I prepared the simulation for the upcoming LHCb RICH testbeam; the experimental setup will include a crystal radiator and PMTs detectors. Two different geometry for the radiator are studied, in order to decide wich may be more convenient to measure resolution and yield of the PMTs. The sources of errors during the reconstruction of the Cherenkov angle are also investigated. The simulation shows that both configurations present a resolution which is less than the resolution expected from the PMTs' pixels and therefore they may be used during the testbeam. |
