A first look at Z + jet events in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN} }$=5.02 TeV with the CMS detector

Sumario: | An initial phase of data analysis was conducted to find Z + jet events using the Z → µµ channel in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN} }$=5.02 TeV. Various cuts were used to select the Z + jet events from the data. From the Z + jet events, the ratio of transverse momentum between the Z and the jet was calculated to search for jet quenching. As the analysis is still in the initial phase and uses confidential data from the CMS Collaboration, my supervisors and I decided not to include any detailed results. |
