Sumario:An efficient reconstruction and identification of electrons and photons, as well as the precise measurement of their reconstruction and identification efficiencies is crucial for many measurements and searches at the LHC. We will describe the reconstruction and identification methods developed for electrons and photons in the 7 and 8 TeV LHC run, optimised for the respective LHC run conditions. The measurements of their efficiencies will also be described, as well as the respective impact on precision measurements.
