Sumario: | We describe various searches for new resonant phenomena with the ATLAS and CMS detectors at the LHC, using the full dataset of proton-proton collisions recorded in 2012 at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV. The searches are based on the study of the invariant mass or visible invariant mass distribution of various pairs of physical objects such as jets, leptons, photons or heavy bosons. No evidence of new physics is seen and upper limits at the 95$\%$ confidence level are set on the cross section of such phenomena. The results are interpreted as lower limits on the mass of resonances predicted by a variety of models, leading to exclusion well above 1 TeV in many cases. |
