This photograph shows P. Skarek (left), of CERN' s MSC Division, and W . Hirt, of the Eidgenôssische Technische Hochschule, Zurich, working on the apparatus used in the Propion experiment that was recently complete d at CERN' s 600-MeV synchro-cyclotron. The whee l in the background holds various targe t mate - rials which can be switched into the beam as desired. In front of the wheel can be seen the télévision caméra with whose aid the beam alignment is checked from the control room .
