CERN Academic Training Lecture : Physics of Extra Dimensions - 17th February / Discovery Rocket Landing at Kennedy Space Center

Lecture 2 - An overview of phenomenological models with extra spatial dimensions will be given, with emphasis on relatively recent (less than a decade old) ideas and results. Central focus will be on various versions of the "brane world" scenario, some of which suggest that extra dimensions may be accessible experimentally in foreseeable future, either at colliders or in searches for exotica. Cosmological aspects will also be discussed
