Charge asymmetry in $t\bar t$ at CMS

Two measurements of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production, one using the full dataset of pp collisions at 8 TeV collected by CMS in 2012, and one using the full dataset recorded at 7 TeV, are presented. description Two measurements of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production, one using the full dataset of pp collisions at 8 TeV collected by CMS in 2012, and one using the full dataset recorded at 7 TeV, are presented. The effect is measured inclusively as well as differentially as a function of invariant mass and transverse momentum of the top quark pair, giving additional leverage on possible new physics contributions and the different contributing effects of the Standard Model. This also allows better judgment of the deviation seen at Tevatron in a similar observable, which continues to be one of the most significant deviations from the Standard Model observed in modern experiments.
