Jets and high-$p_T$ probes of the QGP

Jet studies provide experimental means to explore the details of parton-medium coupling and the energy loss mechanisms in QCD matter. In this talk an overview of recent jet and high-pT measurements from 2.76 TeV PbPb and pp collisions with the CMS detector will be presented. Additionally, the latest...

Sumario:Jet studies provide experimental means to explore the details of parton-medium coupling and the energy loss mechanisms in QCD matter. In this talk an overview of recent jet and high-pT measurements from 2.76 TeV PbPb and pp collisions with the CMS detector will be presented. Additionally, the latest CMS jet results from pPb collisions at 5.02 TeV will be discussed in the context of initial state effects in jet measurements.
