Sumario:With the goal of reducing the time needed for reconstruction the ATLAS offline software underwent significant revision in long shutdown 1. This note documents the timings and tracking efficiency as a function of major software releases. A reduction in reconstruction time was needed to offset the increase in trigger bandwidth to 1 kHz that is expected in run 2 and the expected higher pileup at nearly twice the centre-of-mass energy of run 1.
