Sumario:The ATLAS experiment at the LHC completed a very successful first run in early 2013. The experiment is now finishing up a program of repairs and upgrades in preparation for the next run, scheduled to start in early 2015. This talk will summarize some of the highlights from the first ATLAS run, discuss the improvements that have been made to the detector and what we can expect from them, and briefly touch on future planned upgrades.
