Resonance production with the ATLAS experiment

Conference talk on "Resonance production with the ATLAS experiment" at the Resonance workshop in Catania (IT), Nov '14. ATLAS has a wide programme to study the production and decay properties of particles with beauty, as well as charmonium and bottomonium states. This presentation will cover the latest ATLAS results, including psi(2S) and chi_c production, searches for excited b-hadron and for hidden-beauty state Xb (the bottomonium counterpart of X(3876)) in the Upsilon pi pi channel. In addition the ATLAS study of parity violating asymmetry parameter alpha_b in Lambda_b -> Lambda J/psi decays, obtained from the study of angular correlations in the p pi- mu+ mu- final state, will be discussed.
