Strength function from the $^{113}Cd(n,\gamma)$ reaction

GENAT4 Monte Carlo simulations of the Budapest PGAA detector system are presented. The obtained response functions were used to unfold the spectrum from $^{113}Cd(n,\gamma)$ reaction – measured at the Budapest PGAA – in order to determine the $\gamma$-ray strength function. Preliminary results for t...

description GENAT4 Monte Carlo simulations of the Budapest PGAA detector system are presented. The obtained response functions were used to unfold the spectrum from $^{113}Cd(n,\gamma)$ reaction – measured at the Budapest PGAA – in order to determine the $\gamma$-ray strength function. Preliminary results for the total radiative neutron capture cross sections for the $^{14}N(n,\gamma)$ and the $^{113}Cd(n,\gamma)$ reactions based on the unfolding approach are presented.
