Sumario:A search for a high mass scalar particle decaying into a Z boson and a photon is described. The analysis is performed using proton-proton collision datasets recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. Events were collected at center-of-mass energies of 8 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 19.7 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The selected events are required to have opposite-sign electron or muon pairs. No excess above standard model predictions has been found in the 200--500 GeV mass range and limits at 95$\%$ confidence level have been derived on the scalar boson production cross section times the $\mathrm{A}\rightarrow\mathrm{Z}\gamma\rightarrow\ell\ell\gamma$ branching fraction. The observed limits are between 0.4 and $3.9~\mathrm{fb}$. $$\textit{This document has been revised with respect to the version dated March 6, 2015.}$$ $$\textit{It is also superseded by the extended analysis reported in CMS-PAS-HIG-16-014.}$$
