Sumario:The capability of LHCb to measure the $B^{+} \rightarrow K^{+} \pi^{0}$ decay mode is investigated. Analysis techniques are developed to overcome the significant challenges facing measurements of this mode and other decay channels with similar topologies. Evidence of the decay is reported for the first time at a hadron collider, and prospects for measurements made with data from Run II of the LHC are presented.
