Search for new phenomena at the LHC in multij-jet or multi-lepton final states

Many possible extensions of the Standard Model lead to spectacular signatures. Events containing several leptons are useful probes of new phenomena due to the low background from Standard Model processes. We look for anomalous production events with three or more leptons, of prompt like-sign leptons in association with jets and events with a large jet+lepton scalar transverse momentum sum. The searches use data recorded in the period 2011-2012 at √s=7 and 8 TeV centre-of-mass energy by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC.
