Sumario: | A search for lepton flavor violation in Z boson decays to one electron and one muon is performed. The data sample of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV collected by the CMS detector corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $19.7~\text{fb}^{-1}$. An observed (expected) limit on the branching fraction of $\mathcal{B}\left(\mathrm{Z}\rightarrow\mathrm{e}\mu\right) < 7.3\cdot 10^{-7}$ ($6.7\cdot 10^{-7}$) at $95\%$ CL is obtained. |
