Sumario:We present a measurement of the electroweak production cross section of a $\mathrm{W}$ boson in association with two jets events in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV. The analyzed dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.3 fb${}^{-1}$ collected by the CMS detector at the LHC. The measured value of the cross section in the fiducial region for electroweak production of $\mathrm{W}$($\mathrm{W}\to\ell\nu$, with $\ell={\mathrm{e}},{{\mu}}$)+2 jets is 0.42 $\pm$ 0.04 (stat.) $\pm$ 0.09 (syst.) $\pm$ 0.01 (lumi.) pb, which is consistent with the standard model prediction of $0.50 \pm 0.02 ({\rm scale}) \pm 0.02 ({\rm PDF})$ pb obtained by $\mathrm{MADGRAPH}$ interfaced to $\mathrm{PYTHIA}$ 6.
