A search for $\mathbf{R}$-parity violating scalar top decays in all-hadronic final states with the ATLAS detector in $\mathbf{\sqrt{s}=8}$~TeV $\mathbf{pp}$ collisions

Sumario: | We report on the results of a search for the pair-production of $R$-Parity Violating stop quarks with subsequent decays to two Standard Model quarks. The model considered here focuses on the case in which the decay products are a $b$ and an $s$ quark, and thus the search selects events with at least two heavy-flavor tagged jets in the final state. Background discrimination is achieved with the use of jet mass and substructure selections that significantly enhance sensitivity to low stop mass regime. No evidence for excesses beyond the background predictions are observed and limits are set on the allowed stop mass. |
