Sumario:The ATLAS experiment on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN has collected a dataset of $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.4 pb$^{−1}$. Kinematic distributions are presented for events passing selections that target $W$ and $Z$ boson production with subsequent decay to $\ell\nu$ or $\ell\ell$, where $\ell$ = e, $\mu$ and $v$ is the corresponding neutrino or anti-neutrino. These distributions are compared to the expected contributions from $W$ and $Z$ boson production, including associated jet production, and other Standard Model processes with similar final states.
