First validation plots in preparation for a search for new phenomena in final states with large jet multiplicities and missing transverse momentum at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV proton-proton collisions using the ATLAS experiment
A first implementation of the data-driven QCD background estimate for the ATLAS SUSY ‘Multijet’ search is performed on the first 72 pb$^{−1}$ of 2015 $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV proton-proton collision data. The method from previous searches in run-1 is shown to still be effective.
