description Preliminary studies of jet reconstruction and calibration in the ATLAS detector using a sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV are presented. Particular emphasis is given to studies of the inputs to jet reconstruction, including both clusters of calorimeter cells and charged particle tracks. Jet properties and internal structure are also studied and comparisons are made to a Monte Carlo simulation of inclusive jet production at this new center-of-mass energy.
