description An excellent performance of the photon reconstruction and identification is of vital importance both for precision measurements as well as for searches for new physics at the LHC. A high identification efficiency, measured with small uncertainties is for example important for the measurement of the Higgs to diphoton signal strength. This talk presents the photon reconstruction and identification and their performance during the LHC Run1, as well as the data-driven efficiency measurements, which allowed to determine the identification efficiency with high precision. The talk will also discuss the photon identification strategy for 2015 and will include first results from Run2 if available.
