Sumario:The pseudorapidity density of charged particles produced in proton-proton collisions at the LHC is measured at the centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ALICE detector. We report on the measurement performed in the central pseudorapidity region for inelastic events (INEL) and events with at least one charged particle in $\left|\eta\right| < 1$ (INEL$>$0). The pseudorapidity density of charged particles produced in the pseudorapidity region $\left|\eta\right| < 0.5$ is 5.36$\pm$0.13 and $6.52^{+0.18}_{-0.14}$ for INEL and INEL$>$0 events, respectively. The results are compared with calculations from Monte Carlo models commonly used at the LHC.
