description | The measurement of the jet fragmentation done by ATLAS detector revealed modest but significant modifications of the jet fragmentation functions and distributions of the charged particle transverse momenta measured with respect to the jet axis. These observations represent an important input for constraining parton energy loss models. In this poster, we discuss important details of ATLAS jet fragmentation measurements. We concentrate on the technique of the UE subtraction from measured distribution, unfolding, and other important corrections. We also discuss the interplay between the measured modifications of the fragmentation and the jet energy scale. Finally, we provide a summary of the physics message of these measurements. |
