Sumario: | The ALICE experiment has an extensive program for the measurement of high multiplicity events in pp collisions. As a summer student, I was involved in different tasks for the preparation of the high multiplicity data taking and Monte Carlo studies. Several ALICE sub-detectors are part of the trigger system and can be used to set up a high multiplicity trigger. Moreover, the high multiplicity triggers have to be harmonized with the other goals of the experiment, limiting the bandwidth which can be dedicated to these triggers. In this project we discuss the optimization of the trigger strategy and some initial studies for the simulation of high multiplicity events. |
