Sumario:Electron and photon triggers are essential for a wide variety of ATLAS physics analyses. For example, final states including leptons and photons had key role in the discovery and measurement of the Higgs particle properties. Dedicated triggers are also used for calibration, efficiency and fake rate measurements. The ATLAS trigger system is divided in a hardware-based (L1) and a software-based High Level Trigger (HLT). Both were upgraded during the long shutdown of the LHC in preparation for data taking in 2015 to cope with the increasing luminosity, the more challenging pile-up conditions and higher center-of-mass energy. The trigger selection has also been optimised to further control the rates while keeping efficiencies high. Performance of the the run~2 triggers measured with early run~2 data are shown.
