Sumario:Methods for boosted hadronically decaying top quark identification (top tagging) are tested in view of the 13 TeV data-taking run of the LHC. In addition to evaluating the discrimination power of single observables, the gain from combining different substructure techniques is quantified. The interplay between different top tagging variables and b tagging is evaluated and the performance of selected observables for high transverse momentum jets is studied. Aditionally, a comparison of top tagging variables between data and simulation is performed, using collision events with a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV.
