2015 start-up trigger menu and initial performance assessment of the ATLAS trigger using Run-2 data

This document summarizes the ATLAS trigger upgrades over the 2013-2014 LHC shutdown for the Run-2 data-taking and the start-up trigger menu. The initial trigger performance is evaluated using the first 13~TeV data collected by the ATLAS detector in 2015.
