Sumario:The production of $D^0$ mesons is studied in proton-lead collision data collected by the LHCb detector. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $0.158\pm0.002 \ \text {nb}^{-1}$ and the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of the proton-lead collisions is $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.02$ TeV. The $D^0$ candidates are reconstructed in the ${D^0\rightarrow K^+\pi^-}$ and ${D^0\rightarrow K^-\pi^+}$ decay modes. The measurements are performed using $D^0$ candidates with transverse momenta $p_T$ less than 8 GeV/$c$ and rapidities in the ranges $1.5 < y{^*} < 4.0$ and $-5.0 < y^* < -2.5$ in the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass system. The integrated cross-section, the forward-backward production ratio and the cold nuclear modification factor are determined for this sample.
